Bear Gun

We do a lot of camping in the woods (not in camp grounds) there are always bear sightings we hear of. What is a good hand gun to defend off the bears if need be?

i carry a .40 cal handgun. its an auto with 15+1 so i can throw a lot of hollow points at it. I would look at the ruger .480 or a shorter barreled SW .460. i want to get one for a woods gun. when i have my truck i got an AK-47 with a few 30 rounders lol so it will be really hurting if it does get close enough

From what I've heard a .40 in a HP won't penetrate a bear tomcuh in fact it may just piss it off more...

Maybe a .480 or .50 but then you better practice and know how to aim

yeah i know. i need to get a big revolver for when im out. and yes i know how to aim

wedon't have bears around here, but i would recommend a .454 Casul{sp?} or a elephant gun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
