Default Best Survival Books

What are your favorite survival related books and why?

I just got a new related one "Sierra Nevada Tree Identifier" to help me learn more about the trees in the local forest

Not a survival book per se... I have one titled "Death, Daring, and Disaster: Search and Rescue in the National Parks." It's a bunch of true short stories from pre-yellowstone to the 1990's. It is really eye opeing to see just how stupid people can be, or cavalier about their surroundings, and the lengths the NPS goes to rescue people.

Thanks, I'll have to check and see if Amazon has that one!!

I also suggest the "SAS" guides and a book called "Wildernes Living"

To me, books on wilderness and living in the wild teach a lot more than "survival" books.
