Survival Food, and eating right.

Being outdoors is a beautiful thing.  Hiking and camping are fun and relaxing, but require a good level of energy to get things accomplished.  That’s part of the fun of being out in the wild, it puts people in a place where they are required to do more and yield the benefits of their efforts.  The level of energy in a person’s body is determined by their diet; specifically carbohydrates.

Without carbohydrates, a person will quickly lose energy and their ability to accomplish tasks.  In a situation where survival is the task at hand, without carbohydrates in the body, there is no survival.  Hiking and camping, especially in a survival situation are energy intensive tasks.  Trekking a path, carving wood, creating shelter; these are all things that without the energy to do them, the outlook is grim.  Just the mental energy that is spent when lost, or trying to figure out how to preserve your life for the foreseeable future is taxing, taking the steps necessary is physical and therefore even more taxing to the system.

Carbohydrates are no the only source of energy, but they are the best and easiest to digest.  When out in the wilderness, it is always a good idea to keep enough food on you for a least a couple days.  In this case you want to make sure you have a good source of food that will provide you with as much energy as possible.  The reason trial mix is so popular is because of the high level of carbohydrates it contains.  This is true even for athletes, like a professional swimmer loading up on carbohydrates by eating lots of pasta.  Grains like bran and cereal are a fantastic source of carbohydrates; foods like these can keep you going, especially when your life may depend on it.

Hiking for miles on end is not easy; neither is building a shelter, or hunting for game to get protein.  The body can survive for many days without food, but the body cannot perform the way one may need it to in order to get out of trouble.  Building a shelter means you will have to find a suitable spot, and find the necessary resources to build with.  Collecting wood for a fire, and building a fire, without the aid of a modern fire making tool, can literally burn up a lot of energy.  Try making a fire in your back yard using just a knife and some wood and a shoestring.  It won’t be long before you are out of breath, if not a little sweaty.  This is just one thing you will need to do when surviving in the outdoors.  So make sure to have a stash of carbohydrate rich energy food anytime you are headed into the wild.

packing around a bunch of heavy foods can really give you a workout fast. i would recommend purchasing some dehydrated foods, they are lightweight and easy to cook, just add boiling water for 20 minutes.

I searched a long time to find the company I buy from. 25 year shelf life food, which you can actually make money distributing. If this sounds interesting to you send me an email flm4u2003@gmail.com and I’ll send you the link just or go to my youtube channel: flm4u2003
